This album contains some nice music from the good old days (aka old school). Some tracks are only released on this album and make this a goody for all the lovers of the old spirit. The thingy that gives this piece extra value besides the special tracks is the nice 80 page booklet about the Chakra journey, trance music, parties and artists.
All in all a nice album for starters and people who still enjoy the roots of it all.

Final point : 8/10 for the collection worth , Favs: 4,5,6,7 on disc 1.

Conclusion:

Disc 1: The goatrance disc contains some fillers and some excellent tracks in my opinion.Well I can say that for me ½ of tracks are more than ok and not that easily to find on other comp’s so that makes it a worth buy for me on the music part. This disc gets a 7/10 for me in all with some 10/10 tracks on it like the Transwave.

Disc 2: Well nice ambient nothing more and nothing less and surely not the trippy kind. Smooth background music in all. 7/10

Transwave ''Phototropic'' 1996 release

Transwave is a Goa trance act composed of Christophe Drouillet (today known as Absolum) and Frederic Holyszewski (today Deedrah).

Christophe was raised in a classical musician family, though he never had training in music or electronic. First, he got involved in various New Wave bands where he was the singer and the programmer. One day, he discovered the Techno music sound, and that changed his musical orientation. Also raised in a family of musicians, Frederic Holyszewski began his musical studies at the age of five, learning Transverse flute and piano. During his teenage years, he found inspiration in the electronic music of the day, including Jean Michel Jarre, Depeche Mode, Frankie Goes to Hollywood and Simple Minds. He bought his first synthesizer funded by working at night in bars as a pianist. After the split of his first rock band Vision Quest, in 1990, he started to work on his own with the help of computers.

Return to the Source

Oi silloges pou oloi agapisame kai latrepsame...

Return to the Source was a London-based Goa Trance music collective and record label.

RTTS (as it became known) first emerged in the early 1990s alongside the musical genre of Goa Trance and it's successor Psychedelic Trance. RTTS produced a number of compilation albums of both upbeat Trance and more downtempo Ambient music, as well and organising many Trance club nights or "parties" of which a significant number were held at the Brixton Academy venue in London, UK.
